Lesson Activity #1: This lesson is a science experiment that will provide you with knowledge about different liquids and solids. Have fun during this lesson and really pay attention to the different events you are witnessing. The worksheet that is given is going to allow you to describe what you see and experience throughout the experiment. Be specific by using quite a bit of detail about what you are observing.
Lesson Activity #2: This lesson regards history and the different symbols of America. It is very valuable and important for you to remember the information that is presented. These are symbols that you will see the rest of your life and it will be nice for you to be able to explain to others what they are and what they exactly mean. The worksheet provided is matching and will just show that you payed attention and did learn what the symbols represent.
Lesson Activity #3: This lesson deals with mathematics and patterns. Patterns seem to be very simple in the beginning stages but it does get more difficult when you get further in to them and the levels of math. It is very important to understand the basics and the relation that they have with mathematics and even geometry. This will be a reoccurring aspect in your school years so it is important to get the basics down know before more difficult formulas and equations come in to play.
Lesson Activity #4: This lesson will be a read aloud. Either you can read it or have someone read it to you. It is important because Thanksgiving is a holiday that will be celebrated the rest of your life and one that tends to lose its meaning. The book that is going to be read portrays two families thanksgiving celebrations and the differences and similarities between them. The activity that we are having you do is important because it is a fun hands on activity but also allows you to think about what you are thankful for in your life and express that in words.
Lesson Activity #5: This lesson is in regards to language arts and homophones. Homophones are words that will appear quite a bit in several situations. Whether it is someone talking to you, reading, or writing, they will be used and seen many times throughout your life. It is important to understand the characteristics and meanings of the words so you don't get them confused in the future. The worksheet that is given to you is just provided to circle the correct word. It gets tricky at times but it is a valuable piece of information to have.
